We offer you access to our library of portrait and sailing action photographs of several thousand yachts and powerboats going back to as early as 1981. Give us your boat name or sail number and within seconds we can tell you if we have any photographs of your boat and when they were taken. Within hours we can e-mail low resolution images to your desk and take your order for prints. If we draw a blank on existing photographs you can arrange for us to photograph your boat. Commissions located close to Cowes are good value and provide you with the certainty of receiving a wide selection of photographs at a modest price. Once you contact us we will look out for your boat in any case, and mail proofs once we have photographs. Don't delay respond today!
Owners and crews of yachts that race regularly on the South Coast will find the Programme page on this site to be of interest, showing as it does the sailing events to be covered this year. Events are shown as definite or possible depending on the level of interest anticipated.
Our
photographer, Hamo Thornycroft, has the experience you need to cover your sailing
event. From a brief photo session to provide those memorable "portraits at the
helm" for your corporate guests, to covering a full-blown racing regatta for
thirty yachts and delivering the prints the same evening, it is all in a days
work.
Recent commissions include daily coverage during Skandia Life Cowes Week for Cap Gemini of their chartered Maxima Cap Gemini, photography for the Performance Sailcraft of their new Jo Richards designed Vortex tunnel-hulled dinghy, and large corporate regatta coverage for IBM, Mercedes-Benz U.K and Sun Microsystems.
We are the official photographers for the prestigious Industry Sailing Challenge, until recently sponsored by Sony U.K. This year, teams from 150 companies include such recognisable names as Ford Motor Company, Nokia, and Vodafone, will battle it out in a testing twice round the Isle of Wight sailing marathon. We have provided overall coverage for the competitors and specific commissions for companies and sponsors of this event since 1989.
In early September at Cowes, 200 yachts will gather to race for The Little Britain Challenge Cup. Entry is open to companies involved in the U.K construction industry. For the ninth time since its inception, the Committee have asked us to take on the daunting task of photographing all yachts racing, and displaying the proofs within hours of the race finishing.
Our photographs regularly grace the pages of the yachting magazines in reports and advertisements. Currently the front covers of the IRC 2000 Yearbook, the 2000-2001 Solent Handbook, the Sigma 38 Class Handbook, and several other class handbooks all feature recent examples from our extensive library of sailing photographs.
