Swan Jacobite broachingDuring the 2001 America's Cup Jubilee celebrations in Cowes racing in the western Solent the large masthead spinnaker on the classic Swan takes control in a violent gust. A quick response by the crew releasing the spinnaker before the inevitable crash gybe saved any damage to rig or crew but for several seconds hearts beat fast on Jacobite. |
